Oasthouse
Creative Direction: Caleb Heisey, Scott Laserow
Institution: Tyler School of Art and Architecture
A bright and upscale brewery branding project featuring logo, business cards, packaging, signage, and merchandise.
The name Oasthouse refers to the building, sometimes called a hop kiln, which used to be used to dry hops for use in the brewing process. This reference is meant to emphasize the skill, respect, and intention put into this micro-brewed selection.
Ready to expand after a decade of brewing, the Oasthouse brand direction will bring a small company’s brews to the nationwide audience of people who care about the quality of their beer as much as the brewers do. This direction is meant to appeal to people who may have previous devotion to specialty coffee, tea, and wine, to bring them into the world of craft beer with an emphasis on the brewing process and tasting notes. Oasthouse uses a hand-done illustration style, vibrant colors, and matte white bottles to create attractive shelf presence and an approachable brand personality.
